What Parents and Graduates Need to Know

  • Congratulations to the Class of 2020! While this is not an ideal situation, WFISD is excited that we will still be able to hold a ceremony to honor you and celebrate this monumental achievement in your life.

All three graduation ceremonies will take place in-person at Memorial Stadium at 9:00 AM on the following days:

    • Rider High School - Thursday, May 21
    • Wichita Falls High School - Friday, May 22
    • Hirschi High School - Saturday - May 23

Graduates will be limited to six tickets per graduate for guests. Tickets will be passed out to students at graduation rehearsal. It is the student's responsibility to make sure his or her parents/guardians/guests receive the tickets. Guests will not be allowed to enter the stadium without a ticket. No exceptions.

Stadium gates will open at 8 AM

In order to comply with social distancing guidelines, guests will be ushered to their seats and given assigned seating. You will not be allowed to "hold" seats or move to a different area once you are seated. This will be strictly enforced. Anyone seen not following these procedures will be asked to leave.

For the safety of you and others, we are asking that all guests wear a face mask to the ceremony.

Hand sanitizing stations will be set up at each stadium entrance ramp.

All graduation ceremonies will be live streamed for those who are not able to make it to the live ceremony. Ceremony DVDs will also be available for purchase.

Please note that this information is subject to change should we receive additional direction from the state or City of Wichita Falls. However, if there are changes, we would communicate that with you as soon as possible.

We will continue to add more information to this page as we finalize details.
