Course Rules & Grading Policy

  • To be successful in Earth Science class, there are a few rules everyone needs to follow:

    1. Show respect to everyone all of the time.
    2. Take responsibility for your actions.
    3. Be in your seat and ready to work when the bell rings.
    4. Bring all materials (textbook, binder, agenda, and pencil) to class every day.
    5. If you miss an assignment or test, make them up as soon as possible.
    6. All policies outlined in the student handbook will be enforced in the classroom.

In addition, understanding how your grades are determined will help you to achieve your goals in Earth Science class.

Grades will be determined based upon grades earned. To determine your percentage grade, divide the points earned by the points possible, then multiply by 100. Grades will be based upon homework, tests, in-class assignments, and unit projects.
