(11yrs to 18yrs old)  - THE AMERICAN LEGION – LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER ACADEMY, INC.– This 7 day program (June 4^th-10^th)located at Adventure Campground at Whitewater Challengers in Weatherly, PAprovides interested young people with training in many aspects of lawenforcement and also provides some physical conditioning that is important foran officer of the law.  Cost is$250.00 (non-refundable) per cadet. Pick up an application in the Guidance Center.  Deadline:  May 1^st

(SO-JR) ABRAHAM LINCOLN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE - This will be held during the week of  June 12^th to June 18^th.   This institute is a high energy,interactive leadership program. Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA or higher, have academic achievements andcommunity service, write 2 essays and request letters of recommendation.Selection is competitive.  There isNO COST to students who are selected to participate. Participants will berequired to live on the Penn State campus for the week of the institute.  All meals, dorm, workshop and trainingmaterials, transportation for field trips and recreational activities arecovered.  Selected students willnot be allowed to have a personal vehicle during the week of the institute, butmust provide their own transportation to be dropped off and picked up from theinstitute.  Pick up the instructionpacket in the Guidance Center right away. Deadline:  March 9^th.
